Encounters on the Road to Jerusalem is the story of how we lived our dream to walk for a long time. This book tells the story of our encounters with people, places, sun, wind, rain, snow, roads, and our own inner selves. We started in California January 2009, walked 5,321 miles (8,620 kilometers), and arrived in Jerusalem 23 December 2010, 23 months later.
This book attempts to complement and complete the web journal we kept at WalkingEast.com while we were walking. We divide this book into the seasons of our two years. We can't choose our time to walk when we are on such a long walk. We can only start and then, like farmers, adapt to the changes as they happen.
Encounters on the Road to Jerusalem is a perfect bound (soft cover) book with 337 pages and more than 190 illustrations. It is printed in black and white interior format and full color cover.
