Via Francigena
San Gimignano to Rome

We walked the second stage of the Via Francigena (VF) 21 January to 4 February. As with the first stage, each day offers its unique contribution to the experience. Each day is a new awakening to the celebration of the life of the walk and the walk of life. I have written more detail for this second narration of the pilgrimage to give you a wider feeling for the multitude of experiences of the days and weeks and, yes, also sometimes of the boredom of doing the same things day in and day out.
