To San Gimignano

This long day begins with a five am wakeup. By 6:44 we are on the train for Munich. We have invited friends Ursula and Wolfgang to share our Bavaria ticket with us. A small 27 euros lets up to five persons travel all day in Bavaria so we share the wealth with them. The rest of the cost is only 29 Euros all the way to Rome each way--a special Internet fare.

By 8:30 pm we are finally at the Augustine convent in San Gimignano, a long day over except for dinner with Fr. Brian and his guest from Maryland. We enjoy each other's company and talk long into the night. When it finally comes, sleep is welcome.
